What IT&CM China Delegates Have To Say

Exhibitors

2015

Our continouous participation at IT&CM China over the last 2 years has definitely raised the profile of Central Hall Westminster in China, allowing the Chinese buyers to know more about us. IT&CM China 2015 is a very well-organised event, with an excellent profile of buyer delegates. The standard of this year's show is also visibly enhanced.

Central Hall Westminster, London, United Kingdom
Kevin Blackman, Senior Sales Manager

IT&CM China is the first MICE event we attended in China, and it had been a positive experience for us. This is a platform that helped to position us in the Chinese market, and we were able to establish contacts with the relevant industry players. Also, the media briefing with the targeted media audience also helped in our brand positioning.

Chic Outlet Shopping®, Europe
Marcelo Molinari, Deputy Tourism Director

IT&CM China 2015 is an event that delivers measurable ROI for exhibitors. In particular, the smooth facilitation of business appointments, opportunities to showcase our services, and plentiful networking sessions, led to us meeting buyers with strong interest in China. We find IT&CM China a successful tradeshow, and we will continue to participate in this event as it attracts the type of buyers we are seeking. The show is well-positioned to present the best of China, giving buyers a unique platform to discover more about China, the attractions and destinations, and source for suitable local partners to handle their MICE requirements.

The event has made marked improvement in enhancing the overall delegate experience. In addition to supporting the show as an exhibitor, we also invited some of our best buyers to this event and we found the process seamless and focused in helping delegates achieve ROI.

I found the quality of buyers at IT&CM China better than any other event in China! The networking opportunities are an aspect that exhibitors must definitely capitalise on.

We have garnered more leads this year! We were especially excited to explore business opportunities with buyers from Canada and Croatia. We look forward to welcoming more international interest for our incentive travel, meetings and events in Shanghai, Hangzhou and Suzhou.

Being able to pre-schedule 100% of appointments before the show is a valuable feature. In addition, IT&CM China's appointment scheduling facility also generated good match to buyers.

IT&CM China proved to be a prominent and effective platform for us to introduce our innovative new concept for meetings - Meetings Imagined (MeetingsImagined.com) - and complementary Meetings Service App to the Chinese MICE industry. As the event's exclusive official hotel partner sponsoring the Opening Ceremony and Welcome Dinner venue, along with hosting networking cocktails, we leveraged broad informative and publicity platforms also including 'Campfire' knowledge sessions, media briefings, news releases and video interviews to underline Marriott's leadership as a conceptual and technological MICE innovator. Meetings Imgined and its website meetingsimagined.com gained a high profile as an engaging new concept inspiring MICE professionals with refreshing ideas for creative occasions of all sizes, highlighting Marriott as the number one choice for MICE events in China.

Taking advantage of the event's Destination Presentation platform was a right move for us. We were able to captively reach out to a wonder turn-ou of buyers and media at our pavilion and guide them through the Taiwan experience. Having all our co-exhibitors on hand to support the session also furthered our networking and lead generation outcomes.

We received very interesting leads as early as during the first day of business appointments. Clearly, IT&CM China is a very important trade show for us to generate brand awareness and promote Melia - Spain's number one hotel operator, which is also a leading hotel and resort brand in the world with some 400 hotels globally.

The show exceeded our expectations in many ways. The highlights for us are the superior quality of buyers at the show, the organisers' service, opportunities for destination promotion and the exhibition showcase.

We were able to reach out to and discuss potential business opportunities with global companies based in Shanghai. Thumbs up to the organisers for bringing in buyers from new emerging countries such as Eastern Europe and South America who are sourcing for new outbound destinations for both leisure and incentive tours.

IT&CM China was a further step into the Chinese market and we received overwhelming interest from some 80 buyres with extremely strong potential of conventions, incentives and corporate events. The opportunity that we also had to reach out to Association buyers via the educational forums were extremely valuable in positioning Berlin as an ideal destination for Association meetings.

MICE Buyers

2015

I was able to meet with Marketing and Sales Directors/ Managers from some of the best MICE properties in the region. I lined up several quality suppliers for our future incentive travel and I hope to expand our business in this area with what we have accomplished through IT&CM China. The exhibitors we had met and communicated with were of high quality and many of them are a good fit for our business strategy.

This year's event was especially helpful in terms of meeting key vendors and suppliers who can help pinpoint our search for first-rate destinations in China and Asia. We made excellent contacts and we will be moving forward to finalise contracts on behalf of our corporate and associaiton clients. We were able to save time, money and resources by spending two days at this high-quality show that features so many qualified vendors and destinations.

I met lots of new contacts and potential partners, achieving my target for attending IT&CM China. This is a great platform as it gathers almost all mature MICE destination service providers from all over the world. It is a very rare opportunity. The quantity and quality of the exhibitors are both very good. I could hardly slow down throughout the event, because they are all excellent to communicate with. I truly learnt a lot!

Through IT&CM China 2015, I gained an understanding of the latest industry news and trends. We see the MICE industry heading in a new direction, so our new knowledge gained will enable us to keep up with the pace of industry development, and to give new impetus to the development of our company. The PSA and Online Diary System has helped me to save time, find the right exhibitors, and improve efficiency. I benefited a lot from using the system. The overall experience is very good. The exhibitors' profile is excellent as it covered many international exhibitors. I had the opportunity to get a deep understanding of many MICE products efficiently.

I had in-depth communication with exhibitors and delegates from Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Australia and New Zealand, which helped to achieve my desired purpose of gathering more informaiton. In addition, I connected with suppliers from United States, Canada, Indonesia and other countries, especially those who provide self-drive tours in United States, and MICE event organisers. The exhibitors have very good profiles. They understand the China market and know our buyers' needs. They can help us design suitable MICE products and provide more useful information and support.

IT&CM China this year has brought together a good mix of International and local buyers, which, is a really good networking platform for buyers to exchange information with each other. The exhibition also provided us with a good range of tourism bureaus, venues and suppliers that allow buyres to understand not only the CHina market but the regional market support as well. My trip has been very fruitful in terms of gathering information during the exhibition from future potential partners at the networking events for hosted buyers.

This year, we got to meet new suppliers and hoteliers whom we feel will be able to help us close more business deals in the future. We were able to meet with all our desired suppliers during the business appointment slots. The intimate interaction with them during the lunch and dinners further provided opportunities to know them personally which will benefit us in the long run. The list of attending exhibitors this year was excellent.

Our biggest achievement at this year's event is to have established connections with Australia and Melbourne Convention Bureau. We also confirmed a cooperation agreement to organise the 3rd China Fortune New Economy Forum "One Belt One Road" Australia Summit in November 2015 in Melbourne. We are impressed by the high quality of exhibitors, and we met several potential luxury tourism and theme tourism partners - hotels, destinations, DMCs.

I also gained new knowledge on offers and new trends of China and other destinations, and established contact with new suppliers at the event. The quality, quantity and profile of exhibitors at IT&CM China were exceptional. I find that the exhibitors met my requirements.   China is an important destination and market for us. IT&CM China expands our network bases in this region. We were able to confirm a partnership with several suppliers. For instance, we closed a deal for a 250-pax event happening in May 2015, with a hotel in Sydney.

This is my first IT&CM event. I am pleased to discover a large selection of exhibitors from China and Asia - hotels, DMCs and tourist boards - which enabled me to takeaway valuable knowledge of new countries such as Philippines, South Korea and Taiwan. I also found new information on hotels, tourist attractions, infrastructure system in Hong Kong and Sri Lanka. The exhibitors I met were very kind and helpful, and really went the extra mile to find a solution that will meet our clients' needs.

The exhibition showcase and business appointments widened my options beyond those I had orginally considered. In addition to gaining valuable tools at the forums that have taught me how to make our conference a success, I also met vendors I may use. We had only considered Beijing as a potential Chinese destination previously, but now that I had been to the show, Shanghai is also on my short-list in addition to others.

The Buyers-Meet-Sellers appointment scheduling session has been very fruitful for me. The conference programme that was arranged for us was very useful. I gained knowledge of new market trends. I had good discussions with destinations Melbourne, Fukuoka, Jeju and Toronto. These cities in addition to Las Vegas, Berlin, Thailand, Sapporo, Malaysia, Hangzhou, Taiwan and Bali are among those that have piqued my interest as a result of my participation at IT&CM China.

The best part of IT&CM China is the possibility to meet with so many people from different parts of China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau. Informal discussions gave us even more insights on realising our events there independently, professionally and relevantly. Appointments with exhibitors were also highly fruitful. Some of them gave better ideas on exposing our members and groups to different parts of China and Greater China. Some exhibitors were ready to go an extra mile by proposing resource persons to meetings and conventions. They would even co-operate with the theme aspect to give a local touch to the events.

It is enlightening to participate at the Association Day seminars and listen to well-known MICE cities and speakers sharing their experience and innovative operation concepts and ideas. I learnt lots of new ideas which was very rewarding. This year's Association Day forum content is more fulfilling and richer than last year. The experience shared by speakers offered great practical value. As participants are from diverse industries, and did not comprise only of Association delegates, his made interaction all the more exciting.

Media

2015

As a media delegate, I am always looking for what is the best to present our audience. IT&CM China 2015 has very effectively delivered what I, as a media delegate came to be a part of. My expectations were more than fulfilled in every single part of this event. IT&CM China 2015 stands out as a leading event in Chian through its diversity. A great number of reputable speakers were there to give delegates valuable insights on different parts of the industry. The co-operation with the Tourism Authorities is of course of great value when it comes to getting a glimpse of the Chinese culture.

IT&CM China gives us ample opportunities to inform our readership of what is happening in the Chinese and Asian markets. Our post-show report is always very useful to get Belgian buyers interested in next year's edition. The possibility of meeting new contacts from Asia and all over the world, and expanding our network has been fruitful for us at IT&CM China.

I gathered very good information about the current meetings industry of China; some new contacts from the MICE industry for future business discussions, and also, I was able to met face-to-face with some top global leaders such as Heike Mahmoud from the Berlin Convention Office. The event not only brings together different exhibitors from China and other countries of the world, but also features a wide variety of buyers, corporate travel managers, and decision makers that add quality and knowledge for a better understanding of the global industry regarding events and incentives. I believe that IT&CM China is the premier event in China because of the quality of the exhibitors, buyers and international and local media. The event always offers excellent educational sessions and meetings within the event programme, delivering the current trends in China's industry. The social events for networking are also good. As a specialised magazine in the global MICE industry, we must be aware of what is happening in every single corner of the world. IT&CM China represents for us a great big opportunity to reach some other regions, like China itself.

What has been fruitful was the large number of exhibitors with a lot of new Chinese MICE trends and plenty of new ideas and venues. I was also very happy with the many new contacts and business friends I had made at the show. Many factors - exceptional seminars, high quality exhibitors and location to name a few, make IT&CM China a must attend show every year. I would like very much to attend next year's IT&CM China because of the many important contacts and meetings. Also the Chinese market is growing every year and I garnered new venues and new ideas for our MICE business.

As a media participant, I  found the media briefings, conferences, and presentations very information. Through the networking and social events, I could meet many people from all around the world and share relevant information with them. It was an interesting and very useful experience. Since many professionals in the MICE and tourism industry participated at IT&CM China 2015, I was able to make new contacts and networks. As a platform for Chinese and also international MICE exhibitors and buyers, IT&CM China also provides all delegates with tremendous business opportunities through the exhibition showcase, business appointments, educational forums and seminars, and official networking social events.
